State Route 158, also known as Deer Creek Road, was closed in both directions Sunday afternoon because of snow, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The road, which connects Lee Canyon and Kyle Canyon roads near Mount Charleston, about 40 miles northwest of the Las Vegas valley, was shut down, NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said. There was no immediate estimate on when it will reopen.
Snow plows were in route to clear some of the snow, Stuenkel said about 3 p.m.
