Suspect in fatal Saturday shooting in custody

A man wanted in connection with a fatal Saturday morning shooting has turned turned himself in Las Vegas police said.

Kolby Edwards, 29, surrendered himself at the Clark County Detention Center at 3:46 p.m. Sunday, police said Monday.

He faces charges of murder with a deadly weapon and arrest of a fugitive from another state on warrant, A Metro press release said.

Officers found Corban Swift suffering from multiple gunshot wounds about 3:30 a.m. Saturday when they responded to a call at the Silver Palms Apartments, 1951 N. Jones Blvd., near West Lake Mead Boulevard.

Swift was taken to University Medical Center where he later died, police said.
