Two held without bail on murder, robbery charges
Two men indicted on murder and robbery charges were ordered held without bail Friday.
Keonis Lamont Davis, 25, and Laron Kinchlow, 24, face several counts including murder, attempted murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with a July slaying in the northwest valley.
Police said Robert Matthews was shot and killed outside the Northpointe Apartments, 3333 N. Michael Way, during an armed robbery after leaving a nearby Circle K.
Matthews and two other people were approached by two men in a black four-door vehicle with tinted windows on July 2, according to a police report. The passenger stepped out of the vehicle with the car still running and pulled out a 9mm handgun. Matthews’ friend ran and heard three shots, then turned to see Matthews stagger and fall on the sidewalk.
Police requested an arrest warrant for Davis and Kinchlow later that month.
Both Davis and Kinchlow are being held in the Clark County Detention Center, awaiting a court appearance next week.
