Two hurt in rollover crash in Henderson

Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash Saturday morning in Henderson, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Just before 11:30 a.m., a white Honda Accord was struck on its left side by a green passenger car near Green Valley Parkway and the 215 Beltway. The green car failed to maintain the lane, striking the Honda causing it to leave the roadway and rollover, trooper Jason Buratczuk said. The green passenger car fled the scene.

The two passengers of the Honda were taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital — Siena Campus with minor injuries, Buratczuk said.

The Nevada Highway Patrol was able to locate and stop the green car with help from some good Samaritans, he said.

Buratczuk said the driver of the green car was taken into custody and faces the following charges: hit and run, and suspicion of driving under the influence.
