Unmarked police car involved in three-vehicle collision in Las Vegas
An unmarked police car was involved in a three-vehicle collision Saturday night at the intersection of Flamingo and Paradise roads, according to a release issued by Las Vegas police.
No one was seriously injured in the 9:57 p.m. incident, police said.
The unmarked 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 39-year-old male was heading south on Paradise Road crossing Flamingo Road on a red light with lights and siren activated, while a 2015 Honda Accord and a 2003 Honda CRV SUV were traveling on Flamingo Road crossing eastbound Paradise Road on a green light, according to the Metropolitan Police Department release.
Police said the front of the Impala struck the front left side of the Accord and both vehicles continued traveling east on Flamingo Road when the rear of the Impala was struck by the front of the CRV.
All three vehicles involved in the collision came to rest on Flamingo Road east of the intersection, the release said. Four occupants of the Accord and CRV were taken to Sunrise Hospital with minor injuries and later released, police said.
The identity of the driver of the unmarked police car has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation by the department's Accident Investigations Section.
