Utah police holding woman in Las Vegas shooting

A woman wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month was arrested in Ogden, Utah Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Anishya Douglas will remain jailed there until she can be extradited, police said.

Homicide detectives believe Douglas was involved in the Aug. 6 shooting death of 24-year-old Las Vegan Christopher Dewayne Jones Jr. He was shot multiple times at an apartment at 1750 Marion Drive, near North Nellis Boulevard and East Owens Avenue.

Police believe Douglas and Jones knew each other and had fought over money and a dice game the day before the shooting.

Douglas has a criminal record that includes an active warrant related to a misdemeanor domestic battery, court documents show.
