A woman was found dead in a hotel room at the MGM Grand late Thursday night, according to Las Vegas police.
Police were called to The Signature at 145 E. Harmon Ave. about 10:20 p.m. after security checked on the woman, who was supposed to be checking out. They found her dead.
A suspicious powdery substance was found on a table and checked out by Metro’s ARMOR section as a precaution, police said. The substance tested negative for being dangerous.
The woman’s identification and cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
The investigation is ongoing.
