A woman was struck by a car at the intersection of Rock Springs Drive and Smoke Ranch Road, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
Las Vegas police responded to the intersection at 2:23 p.m., and the woman was taken to the University Medical Center with serious injuries.
The intersection is currently closed off and Metro is investigating the crash. The driver that struck her stayed at the scene.
