Woman in wheelchair hurt in hit-and-run in west Las Vegas Valley

A woman in a wheelchair was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash Tuesday afternoon in the west valley, Las Vegas police said.
Just after 1 p.m., a dark-colored pickup hit the woman near the intersection of North Decatur Boulevard and West Washington Avenue, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said. The vehicle left the scene, she said.
Meltzer said the woman was taken to University Medical Center with significant injuries.
