Woman killed Saturday in Pahrump crash identified
The woman who died in a crash on state Route 160 in Pahrump on Saturday has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
She is 61-year-old Zhong Ping Zhou, of Beijing, staff said Monday.
Seven others were injured in the crash that happened about 10:40 a.m. near the highway's intersection with Bell Vista Road, about 60 miles west of Las Vegas.
A Hyundai van carrying five people and a Ford SUV carrying three people were traveling in opposite directions, Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Loy Hixson said. The van was turning on Bell Vista when the SUV crashed into it, he said.
Zhou was a passenger in the van, Hixson said Saturday.
Six people were taken to a local hospital and one person was airlifted to University Medical Center. They are all expected to survive.
