Nevada Highway Patrol and Nevada State Police dispatch phone lines for roadside emergency and assistance calls are back up after being down statewide for most of the day Sunday, the agency said in an evening news release.

However, the Nevada Department of Public Safety website (dps.nv.gov) was still down as of Sunday evening, according to Nevada State Police.

The agency said it is working to resolve this issue and will provide updates as they become available.

The Metropolitan Police Department also said it could face service interruptions because of the outage.

Metro said the department’s “Records and Fingerprint Bureau may face delays in some transactions beginning Monday morning,” as a result of the network issue impacting Nevada law enforcement agencies. There may also be delays in processing work cards and concealed carry weapons permit applications, Metro said in a news release.

However, crime and traffic reporting is not impacted by the network disruption, the department said.
