The number of new cases was the highest three-day total since the state halted weekend reporting of COVID-19 data in mid-April.
The 938 new cases and more deaths were accompanied by another rise in the state’s COVID-19 test positivity rate.
Positivity rate also jumps sharply to 9.5 as deaths remain above two-week moving average.
Nevada’s case count continues to rise at a significant rate, and the state now has a higher 7-day case rate per 100,000 people than any other state in the country.
Nevada on Monday reported 634 new coronavirus cases over the preceding three days.
The new report pushed the state’s totals to 326,878 cases and 5,621 deaths. The two-week moving average of new cases increased slightly to 118.
Nevada’s two-week positivity rate, which essentially tracks the percentage of people tested for COVID-19 who are found to be infected, dropped slightly to 3.4 percent.
The daily update from the Department of Health and Human Services pushed the state’s case total to 326,366 and the death toll to 5,610.
Nevada on Tuesday reported a coronavirus test positivity rate of 3.8 percent, its lowest in nearly a year.
