Calm, warm weather to continue through weekend

Las Vegans will continue to experience sunny, warm weather through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Calmer weather has made its way back to the valley. Saturday’s high was 80 degrees, and Sunday’s high is expected to be 83, meteorologist Andy Gorelow said.

Sunday should have clear and sunny skies like Saturday, Gorelow said.

Winds are expected to be light Sunday, with speeds maxing out at 10 mph, Gorelow said. Earlier this week, the valley saw very windy conditions and a few scattered showers.

At Mount Charleston, the snow is “rapidly melting,” meteorologist Justin Pullin said.

The snow typically melts completely by June, Pullin said. The Lee Canyon Ski and Snowboard Resort closed for the season last weekend.
