Chance of thunderstorms return to Las Vegas Valley forecast Sunday

Updated July 28, 2017 - 7:39 pm

The Las Vegas Valley may see more thunderstorms over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday stayed dry with temperatures reaching 108 degrees, meteorologist Ashley Allens said. Saturday is expected to be a little cooler, reaching 103 degrees with no chance of rain.

Sunday will further cool down to 101 degrees with a 15 to 20 percent chance for thunderstorms creeping back into the forecast, the weather service said.

Next week will begin with a slight chance of rain, the weather service said, though it’s more likely to fall in the mountains than over the valley.

The forecast highs for Monday and Tuesday are 103 and 105 degrees, respectively.
