Cool, windy week ahead for Las Vegas

Conditions in the Las Vegas Valley should be cool and windy by midweek, the National Weather Service said.

“It’s nice out there indeed,” said meteorologist Clay Morgan.

Sunday is expected to hit 90 degrees, which is about 4 degrees below the normal temperature.

Temperature highs will peak Monday at 94 degrees but will return to a high near 90 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service said.

Some breezy conditions Thursday will bring the forecast high to 83 degrees. The average high for Sept. 21 is 92 degrees, according to the weather service said.

“Friday could be the coolest day of the whole stretch,” Morgan said. The first day of the Life is Beautiful music festival will see a 78-degree high, which is the first high temperature below 80 degrees since May 18.

Sunny skies are expected throughout the week.

“It’s really a good taste of fall,” Morgan said.
