Cooler temperatures to last beyond weekend

While the winds that blew through the valley Friday have subsided, cooler temperatures are expected stay awhile, according to the National Weather Service.

Due to a storm system passing through the north, temperatures have dropped about 10 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Saturday’s high was 68 degrees, meteorologist John Salmen said, while its low was 49 degrees.

The high temperature on Sunday is expected to reach 71 degrees and the low temperature to reach 49 degrees, Salmen said.

No rain is in the forecast, Salmen said, adding “maybe a little wind, but nothing too strong.”

Monday’s forecast calls for a high of 73 degrees and a low of 53 degrees with winds ranging from 15 to 25 mph in the morning, the weather service said.

Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s also are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, Salmen said.
