Cooler weather expected to hit the Las Vegas Valley this weekend

The Las Vegas Valley will have normal temperatures until Sunday, when a cold front will bring cooler weather.

The valley saw a pretty “normal” high of 62 degrees Thanksgiving day with northerly winds 10 to 15 mph, meteorologist Chris Outler said.

Friday and Saturday will have light winds and highs of 62 degrees and 65 degrees, respectively. Overnight lows will be in the low 40s. Clouds will increase Saturday, Outler said.

There will be a “pretty big change” Sunday, Outler said. The high will be near 56 degrees with a 40 percent chance of rain.

“We will probably see some snow on the mountains,” Outler said.

Come Monday the chances for rain will go down to 20 percent and by Tuesday, the valley should be clear, Outler said.
