Cooler weather in store for Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley is coming up on its last few days of triple-digit weather, according to the National Weather Service.

"The end is in sight," meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

The valley is right on time for temperatures to start going down, which usually officially stops hitting 100 degrees and over around Sept. 16, according to Steele.

Monday and Tuesday are forecasted to be the only days this week with high temps in the 100s, starting with 102 degrees on Monday and slowly decreasing from there.

It'll be mostly clear skies on Monday with some afternoon breezes and a low of 81.

Temperatures should only drop down one number for a cloudy Tuesday, Steele said.

The valley will be pushing 100 degrees on Wednesday with an expected high of 99 and more high clouds drifting above.

Thursday and Friday are slated for high temperatures in the mid-90s and lows in the low 70s.
