Expect a dry, windy Labor Day

Dry, windy and slightly cooler days are ahead for the Labor Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday saw a high of 99 degrees, and Sunday should be cooler at 93 degrees. Saturday’s winds reached up to 40 mph in some areas, National Weather Service meteorologist Stan Czyzyk said.

Temperatures are expected to be cooler into the coming week. “It will be in the 90s for the whole week,” Czyzyk said.

Labor Day will be cool and sunny with a high of 91 degrees. After that, temperatures will rise with a forecast high of 94 degrees for Tuesday and 96 degrees for Wednesday. The latter days of the week will be in the high 90s, Czyzyk said.

Rain is not expected in the Las Vegas Valley in the coming week, the weather service said.
