Expect clear skies, calm winds, warm temps this week
The last week of January will have clear skies, calm winds and warm temperatures, but the final day of the month could bring showers, the National Weather Service said.
A warming trend will cause temperatures to rise through the week and into the weekend, meteorologist Justin Pullin said.
Tuesday's afternoon temperatures peaked at 58, Wednesday will have a high temperature of 60 degrees and Thursday's high will jump to 65 degrees, Pullin said. These temperatures are fairly normal, but will be above normal by the weekend with Friday and Saturday's 65 and 68 degree highs.
The week will have calm winds under 10 mph and be mostly sunny, the weather service said.
A low-pressure system is expected to move into the valley Sunday morning from the northwest, closing the month with windiness on Saturday and a 30 percent chance for showers Sunday and Monday, Pullin said.
