Monday’s low high ties record set in 1971 in Las Vegas

Monday ties with record low high since 1971, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday “tied the lowest max ever recorded since 1971” for the April 25 date, National Weather Service meteorologist Barry Pierce said. “The coolest high temperature for this date.”

Monday saw a high temperature of 64 degrees and a low of 52, Pierce said.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, have a high temperature of 74 and a low of 52, he said.

Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy with an expected high temperature of 75, the weather service said. There is a 40 percent chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday morning, he said.

Thursday’s high temperature is expected to be 69 and have mostly cloudy skies, Pierce said. There is a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday night into Friday morning, he said.

Friday’s high temperature is expected to be 77 with a low of 57, and skies will be partly cloudy, the weather service said.
