Temperatures continue to climb toward the weekend
The Las Vegas Valley will continue on its record-breaking dry streak with warm and sunny days forecast through the rest of the year.
Wednesday’s forecast high is 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, and Thursday should be the warmest day of the week with a forecast 67-degree high.
Temperatures will start to fall again at the end of the week, with a forecast high of 65 degrees on Friday, 64 on Saturday and 63 on New Year’s Eve.
As of Wednesday, the Las Vegas Valley has gone 105 days without rain. It broke the previous 101-day record set in 1944 on Sunday.
Additionally, Clark County officials extended an air quality advisory through Friday, citing high levels of fine particles stagnating in the county. County spokesman Dan Kulin advised those sensitive to the particles to limit time spent outdoors and to keep windows and doors closed.
