Temps coolers but still above average in the Las Vegas Valley

Temperatures will stay warmer than average until about midweek, the National Weather Service said.

Sunny skies and light winds are forecast for the first half of the week. Sunday’s forecast high is 77 degrees; Monday’s is 79 degrees; Tuesday’s is 78 degrees; Wednesday’s is 77 degrees.

The Las Vegas Valley can expect high winds starting Wednesday night, picking up between 20 and 30 mph.

Stronger north winds will continue to sneak into the valley through Thursday, meteorologist John Salmen said, and the forecast high will drastically drop down to 62 degrees. Temperatures will remain cool on Friday with a 64-degree high and a 45-degree low.

“We’ll finally be seeing that fall weather,” Salmen said.
