Very hot in Las Vegas Valley on Monday, but temps falling this week
Highs in the Las Vegas Valley will fall to “near-normal” this week, the National Weather Service said.
Monday saw a 108-degree high, according to meteorologist John Adair. Light breezes should last through Wednesday ranging from 5 to 15 mph.
Monday’s morning low was 86 degrees, which broke the record for highest low temperature for the date, which was set in 2012, he said.
The valley will start to cool down on Tuesday, with a forecast high of 107 degrees. High temperatures will fall to 106 degrees on Wednesday and 105 degrees on Thursday, the weather service said.
Thursday and Friday may bring rain and thunderstorms to the mountains, but the valley should stay dry. Friday and Saturday are expected to have a high of 102 degrees, Adair said.
