Warm temps expected through end of 2017 in Las Vegas Valley
The Las Vegas Valley will see more warm and sunny winter weather in the new year, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast high for Saturday is 66 degrees dipping to 64 on New Year’s Eve, the weather service said.
Average temperatures for this time of year are usually in the mid- to upper 50s, according to the weather service.
Light winds will continue through Sunday afternoon, but the evening should be calm and partly cloudy, with a low of 50 degrees when the clock strikes midnight, the weather service said.
The new year will start with highs of 63 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service said. Lows should remain in the upper 30s and low 40s through Wednesday.
With no rainfall Friday, the Las Vegas Valley has gone 107 days without precipitation, after breaking the previous 101-day record set in 1944 with Sunday marking 102 days with no rain.
