ROUNDUP: Paratore pitches no-hitter in rout of Miners

Desert Oasis sophomore Joe Paratore tossed a five-inning no-hitter Saturday to lead the Diamondbacks’ baseball team to a 12-0 win over visiting Sunrise Mountain.
Paratore struck out 11 and walked two, then got all the run support he needed in the second inning when the Diamondbacks scored six runs.
Dillon Krasn, Matt Garrett, Austin Maiello and Dakota Roehl each had a home run for Desert Oasis.
Roehl, who also hit a triple and a double, finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, and teammate Cody Schmidt was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Chaparral 10, Tech 3 — At Chaparral, Ricky Perez stroked a two-run homer, and five Cowboys had two hits apiece as Chaparral cruised past the Roadrunners.
Raul Jiminez went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs for the Cowboys. Chaparral’s Jordan January and Ciros Burdier each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Mark Faranda was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Aric Wunsche went 2-for-3.
Green Valley 19, Centennial 3 — At Sierra Vista, Brett Harrison went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs to lead the Gators past the Bulldogs in five innings.
Rudy Strnad was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Gators, who scored seven runs in the first inning. Cameron Harper went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, and Casey Hicks drove in five runs.
Green Valley 8, Legacy 7 — At Sierra Vista, Strnad went 2-for-2 with three RBIs as the Gators held on to edge the Longhorns.
Anthony Uran and Gabe Douglas both went 3-for-5 for Green Valley, which led 7-3 entering the seventh inning.
Tyler Thurston had an RBI triple for Legacy.
Sierra Vista 5, Centennial 4 — At Sierra Vista, Dusty Stevens’ single drove in Billy Santiwan with the tie-breaking run in the sixth inning as the Mountain Lions nipped Centennial.
Santiwan finished 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Bruce Lewallen went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double and three RBIs for the Bulldogs.
Legacy 16, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, Zach Monticelli was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, and Legacy scored seven runs in the top of the first as the Longhorns routed the Mountain Lions.
Nick Kingham went 3-for-3 for Sierra Vista.
Liberty 4, Canyon View (Utah) 1 — At Liberty, Trevor Williams hit a bases-loaded triple with two outs in the bottom of the sixth to break a 1-1 tie and give the Patriots the victory over Canyon View.
Williams also threw three shutout innings of relief to get the win.
Liberty starter Marcos Rivera struck out nine and allowed four hits in four innings.
Canyon View (Utah) 19, Del Sol 0 — Canyon View scored 16 runs in the top of the first inning on their way to a rout of the Dragons.
Dillon Greer was 1-for-1 with a double for Del Sol.
Arbor View 12, Kearns (Utah) 0 — At St. George, Utah, Buddy Borden and Bryce Wildenberg combined on a six-inning six-hitter as the Aggies downed Kearns in the Marshall Gates Classic.
Evan McMahan and Joe Citelli each had two RBIs for the Aggies.
Virgin Valley 7, Valley 5 — At Mesquite, Daniel Gleave’s RBI single in the top of the seventh broke a five-run tie to give the Bulldogs the win over the Vikings in the Cactus Classic.
Matt Devore, who went 2-for-4, added an RBI single for an insurance run.
Gleave was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Tanner Tichenor and Zach Horlacher each went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Virgin Valley, which committed six errors in the win.
Boulder City 20, Basic 0 — At Basic, Jack LaMarca was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and pitched a two-hitter to led the Eagles to the rout of the Wolves.
LaMarca struck out 11 and walked two in the five-inning game.
Nick Morelli was 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs, Ryan Washburn was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Preston Swasey was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple for the Eagles.
