RECRUITING: Desert Pines PG Jacobs commits to Utah
Desert Pines High School junior point guard Julian Jacobs has made an oral commitment to play college basketball at Utah, his summer coach, Las Vegas Prospects coach Anthony Brown, said late Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3-inch Jacobs was a third-team all-state pick this season, averaging 12.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game to lead the Jaguars (14-7) to the Sunrise Region quarterfinals.
Jacobs was an All-Sunrise Region pick and a first-team All-Northeast League selection as a junior.
