ROUNDUP: Basic boys edge Green Valley on put-back in overtime

Kelly Armistead’s only points Monday came on a stick-back basket with 10 seconds left in overtime to lift Basic’s boys basketball team to a 73-71 win over visiting Green Valley.

Tyler Dobbins paced Basic with 18 points, including 17 after halftime, as the Wolves rallied from a 33-14 deficit.

Vince Carducci added 14 points and John Polin scored 11 for the Wolves.

Durrell McDonald paced the Gators with 24 points.

Liberty 58, Del Sol 55 — At Liberty, Giovanni Shelton scored 19 points to help the Patriots hold off Del Sol.

Ashante Ross added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Liberty.

Jeff Coon scored 21 points and David Day had 19 for the Dragons.

Silverado 84, Tech 53 — At Tech, Alex Paula and David Lutomski each scored 18 points to lead the Skyhawks past the Roadrunners.

Dwayne Marshall had 13 points, and Ruben Jackson netted 11 points for Silverado.

Ben Leavitt had 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Ben Seibert scored 13 points for Tech. 

Clark 55, Bonanza 53 — At Clark, Steven Dancy broke a 53-53 tie by making two free throws with 35 seconds to play, and the Chargers survived a last-second shot by Bonanza to pull out the win.

Dancy finished with 27 points, and Alejandro Rangel scored 11 for Clark, which hit 10 3-pointers in the game and led 20-8 after one quarter.

Bonanza stormed back to tie the game and barely missed a potential game-winning three at the buzzer.

Matt Figgins paced the Bengals with 16 points, and Dasean Martin scored 10.

Bishop Gorman 80, Pahrump Valley 36 — At Pahrump, Shabazz Muhammad scored 18 points and Anson Winder added 12 points to lead the Gaels in a rout of the Trojans.

Rosco Allen scored 11 points, and Ryan Parks and Desi Allazetta each had 10 points for Gorman.

Alex Anderson had nine points for Pahrump.

Desert Oasis 57, Durango 50 — At Durango, the Diamondbacks outscored Durango 16-6 in the third-quarter and rallied from a 28-25 deficit to win.

Cameron Mich’l paced the Diamondbacks with 15 points, and Anthony Lianzo and Cameron Jefferson each scored 14.

Devonte Williams paced Durango with 18 points. Devon Matthews supplied 11 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Trailblazers.

Spring Valley 77, Sierra Vista 58 — At Sierra Vista, Vince Johnson scored 20 points to help Spring Valley down the Mountain Lions.

Trey Whitley added 13 points, Justin Omogun had 12 and Anthony Moore contributed 11 for the Grizzlies, who saw a 20-point lead cut to nine in the fourth quarter before pulling away.

Justice Odabi and Viko Noma’aea each scored 16 points for Sierra Vista, and Gary Jacobs added 10.

Cheyenne 64, Arbor View 49 — At Cheyenne, Chris McCall had 20 points in the Desert Shields’ win over Arbor View.

J’Quon Wroten added 13 points, eight assists and six steals, and Jaylen Henry had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Cheyenne.

Maiscei Grier led the Aggies with 15 points, and teammate Darington Banks scored 12.

Cimarron-Memorial 82, Centennial 65 — At Cimarron, Kevin Olekaibe logged a triple-double with 37 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and had seven steals to lead the Spartans past the Bulldogs.

Ben Dorsey had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Eric Brewer added 10 points and 16 rebounds for Cimarron.

Aaseem Dixon scored 21 points, Redell Moore had 17 points and Ben Vozzola netted 13 points to lead Centennial. 

Palo Verde 88, Shadow Ridge 64 — At Shadow Ridge, the Panthers used a 42-25 first-half burst to put away Shadow Ridge.

Moses Morgan led the Panthers with 22 points. Andrew Topham added 15 points and Davion Pearson and Nick Hipwell each supplied 10 points for the Panthers.

Zach Hafen scored 20 points for the Mustangs.

Mojave 44, Faith Lutheran 42 — At Mojave, Royale Jackson scored 15 points, and the Rattlers held off a furious Crusader rally to get the narrow victory.

Don Pearson had 10 points for Faith Lutheran, which trailed 30-13 after three quarters.
