ROUNDUP: Gray shoots Legacy boys past Dominguez

Donovon Gray hit four second-half 3-pointers to help Legacy’s boys basketball team to a 70-63 win over Dominguez (Calif.) in the Johnnie Cochran Jr. Classic in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Gray scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half to help the Longhorns rally.

David Jefferies and Cardon Harris each added 11 points for Legacy, which hit 8 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Arnold Anderson led Dominguez with 13 points.

Lake Mead 64, Lincoln County 60 — At Panaca, Justin Yamzon scored 31 points, and the Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter to top the Lynx.

Lincoln County led 45-42 entering the fourth quarter.

Caleb Pitman added 10 points for Lake Mead, and freshman Brendan LaBaron hit four free throws down the stretch to help seal the win.

Lincoln County’s Chandler Katschke had 28 points and 13 rebounds, and teammate Ryan Rippetoe scored 17.

Needles 56, Laughlin 40 — At Needles, Aaron Burns had 22 points, eight rebounds and four steals to lead the Mustangs over the Cougars.

Michael Hills added 11 points for Needles, which outscored Laughlin 16-2 in the second quarter to take a 33-15 lead.

Tonopah 37, Sandy Valley 35 — At Sandy Valley, Seth Littlefield and Derek Otero each scored 10 points to help the Muckers edge the Sidewinders.

Brandon Hughes had 13 points, and teammate Ryan Hagan scored 10 for Sandy Valley.

Oasis Christian 34, Pahranagat Valley JV 22 — At Oasis Christian, Sam Carnicle scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs over Pahranagat’s junior varsity.

GIRLS

San Diego (Calif.) 53, Foothill 49 — At Bishop Gorman, Tatiana Ethridge scored 21 points to help the Cavers edge the Falcons.

Bri Higgins scored in the lane to give Foothill a 44-43 lead with just over two minutes left, but Ethridge converted a three-point play with 1:53 remaining, and San Diego led the rest of the way.

Anaya Rodisha scored 14 points for Foothill, and Tanji Ajeto supplied 11 points and six rebounds for the Falcons.

Lincoln County 58, Lake Mead 18 — At Panaca, Tia Florence had 24 points as the Lynx routed the Eagles.

Kourtney Gloeckner added 11 points for Lincoln County.

Taylor Badua-Kono scored 10 for Lake Mead.

Needles 46, Laughlin 26 — At Needles, Abby Chandler led three players in double figures with 12 points as the Mustangs downed the Cougars.

Caitlyn Courtwright added 11 points, and Holly Laswell scored 10 for Needles.

Tonopah 62, Sandy Valley 25 — At Sandy Valley, Deanna Van Poucke scored 15 points to lead the Muckers by the Sidewinders.

Summer Ashbey had 14 points, and Alli Friel scored 11 for Tonopah.

Kenzi Smith paced Sandy Valley with 10 points.
