ROUNDUP: Lane leads balanced Longhorn boys past Stars in Tip-Off Classic

Zach Lane led a balanced attack with 11 points Friday to help Legacy’s boys basketball team to a 76-49 home win over Agassi Prep in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.
Cardon Harris and Chris Hughes each added 10 points for the Longhorns, who had 12 players score.
Legacy used a 44-19 run in the middle two quarters to put the game out of reach.
Terrell Kemp and Anson Williams each scored nine points for the Stars. Williams left the game in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury.
Durango 76, Mojave 46 — At Legacy, Joe Tuss poured in 22 points as the Trailblazers busted out to a 37-22 halftime lead and cruised by Mojave in the Tip-Off Classic.
Tyler Jones added 17 points, and Chris Mellor scored 16 for Durango.
Marcus Hines paced the Rattlers with 11 points.
Cheyenne 80, Bonanza 56 — At Legacy, Khalid Banks racked up 22 points, and the Desert Shields used a 32-14 fourth-quarter burst to ice a win over the Bengals in the Tip-Off Classic.
Jaquon Coleman scored 15 points, and Jamal Peterson added 14 points for Cheyenne.
Rio Justice-Chandler paced Bonanza with 14 points. John King and Ashton Howard each added 11 points for the Bengals.
Clark 74, Francis Parker (Calif.) 53 — At Legacy, Bryan McGriff tallied 22 points, and the Chargers never looked back after taking a 25-15 first-quarter lead on their way to a win in the Tip-Off Classic.
Sir Washington added 15 points, Diontae Jones scored 14, and Colby Jackson tallied 12 points for Clark.
Valley 74, Del Sol 55 — At Valley, Spencer Mathis poured in 22 points, and the Vikings broke open a close game with a 23-8 third-quarter run on their way to a win over the Dragons.
Keanu Peters had 18 points, and Chris Swanson added 11 points, five rebounds and five steals for Valley, which got 11 rebounds from Daniel Young.
Max Prescott led Del Sol with 18 points.
Desert Oasis 67, Liberty 53 — At Liberty, Anthony Lianzo scored 17 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Patriots.
LaQuan Hawkins scored 20 points, and Jeremy Lontayao added 11 points to lead Liberty.
Pine View (Utah) 63, Moapa Valley 36 — At Overton, Kody Wilstead tallied 12 points, and the Panthers grabbed a 33-14 halftime lead and raced past the Pirates.
Landon Willard led Moapa Valley with eight points.
Pershing County 51, Tech 31 — At Hawthorne, Pershing County raced to a 27-14 halftime lead and topped the Roadrunners in the Mineral County Tournament.
Bryan Catenza led Tech with seven points.
Virginia City 52, Tech 37 — At Hawthorne, the Muckers used a 28-15 first-half scoring bulge to build a lead and hold off the Roadrunners in the Mineral County Tournament.
Tyler Walker had 12 points for Tech.
Beatty 66, Mountain View JV 40 — At Mountain View, Dylan Meatzie led all scorers with 17 points as the Hornets topped Mountain View’s junior varsity.
Jacob Lee led the Saints with 13 points.
Virgin Valley 60, Tonopah 26 — At Winnemucca, Dee Bowler scored 16 points, and the Bulldogs blitzed to a 35-14 halftime lead on their way to beating the Muckers in the Lowry Invitational.
Tyson Teerlink added 13 points for Virgin Valley, which had 11 players score.
Virgin Valley 73, Owyhee 55 — At Winnemucca, Bowler paced five double-figure scorers with 15 points, and the Bulldogs used a 26-9 fourth-quarter run to pull away from the Braves in the Lowry Invitational.
Teerlink added 12 points. Will Lara and Humberto Urias each scored 11, and Nolan Tanner tallied 10 points for Virgin Valley.
