ROUNDUP: Nelson paces Coronado boys’ fast start in win at Basic

Austin Nelson scored 20 points Tuesday, and Coronado’s boys basketball team used a 24-3 run in the first quarter to pick up a 59-42 win at Basic.
Michael Louder and Jared Colbert each added 10 points for the Cougars.
Vince Carducci paced Basic with 12 points.
Foothill 58, Del Sol 47 — At Del Sol, Greg Cox led a balanced attack with 13 points, and the Falcons outscored the Dragons, 19-10 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.
Dakota Yamka added 10 points for the Falcons.
Tareg Omer paced Del Sol with 15 points, and Chris Marshall scored 10 for the Dragons.
Liberty 59, Tech 48 — At Tech, Aaron Navitsky scored 26 points to lead the Patriots past the Roadrunners.
Kai Nacua added 12 points for Liberty.
Manny Gonzalez had 18 points, and Mike Johnson scored 10 for Tech, which made seven 3-pointers.
The Meadows 71, Calvary Chapel 57 — At The Meadows, Garrett Gosse scored 25 points, and Max Newman added 20 points to help the Mustangs down the Lions.
Austin Brown had 17 points for The Meadows.
Joey Peterson led Calvary Chapel with 20 points, and teammate Bobby Buist supplied 16 points.
Mountain View 68, Lake Mead 62 — At Mountain View, Justyn Anderson had 45 points and five steals to lead the Saints past the Eagles.
Anderson had 19 points in the second quarter as Mountain View outscored Lake Mead, 24-18 to cut the Eagles’ lead to 35-33 at the half.
Trevor Van Kempen hit four 3-pointers en route to 12 points for the Saints.
L.J. Yamzon led Lake Mead with 18 points. Dylan Bradley added 17 points, Jordan Tillman scored 13 and Bryan Scott 10 for the Eagles.
Agassi Prep 49, Laughlin 42 — At Agassi Prep, Kalinn Jackson had 19 points, and the Stars used a 12-4 run in the third quarter to slip past the Cougars.
Quincy Brown added seven points and seven rebounds for Agassi Prep.
Andre Prosise had 12 points, and Colton Hill scored 11 for Laughlin.
Spring Mountain 76, Sandy Valley 45 — At Saville Middle School, Andrew Cavanaugh had 28 points, and Maurice Williams added 22 points as the Golden Eagles rolled to an easy victory over the Sidewinders.
Spencer Randall scored 19 points, and Brandon Hughes contributed 11 points to lead Sandy Valley.
