ROUNDUP: Suarez’s buzzer-beater lifts Sierra Vista girls past Bonanza

Jasmine Suarez’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer Wednesday lifted Sierra Vista’s girls basketball team to a 43-41 win at Bonanza.

Suarez finished with 16 points, and Melia Tadytin scored 14 for the Mountain Lions, who trailed 31-23 after three quarters.

Alyssa Powers had 17 points, and Jessica Gallegos supplied 12 points, eight blocks and seven rebounds for the Bengals.

Faith Lutheran 42, Palo Verde 34 — At Palo Verde, Sam Leonard scored 13 points, and Dani Tharaldson added 11 points as the Crusaders downed the Panthers.

Julia Benko supplied nine points for Faith Lutheran, which helped itself by converting on 11-of-14 free throws.

Jasmin Kiley had 11 points for Palo Verde, which led 21-18 at the half, but was outscored 12-4 in the decisive third quarter.

Liberty 60, Silverado 46 — At Silverado, Sydney Clark scored 18 points, and Meme Clark added 11 points to pace the Patriots to a win over the Skyhawks.

Jazmin O’Bannon scored 10 for Liberty.

Sierra Hester scored 10 points for Silverado.

Shadow Ridge 66, Cimarron-Memorial 56 — At Cimarron, Sabriya Brooks scored 23 points as the Mustangs rallied from a 44-40 third-quarter deficit to down the Spartans.

Rayven Thomas added 14 points for Shadow Ridge.

Traci Parks had 15 points, Sarina Creswell scored 12 and Brianna Williams 10 for Cimarron, which made 28-of-40 free throws.

Foothill 71, Basic 43 — At Basic, Danielle Morris scored 15 points, and the Falcons used a 44-14 first-half run to down the Wolves.

Emily Cox and Julie Harless each finished with 11 points for Foothill.

Dana Deloney posted 15 points to lead Basic, which got 11 points from Kailai Brantner.

Centennial 60, Legacy 15 — At Legacy, Tamera Williams scored 17 points, and Breanna Workman added 15 points as the Bulldogs routed the Longhorns.

Mayisha Marlowe led Legacy with seven points.

Cheyenne 67, Mojave 27 — At Mojave, Lajuana Brown scored 21 points as the Desert Shields easily defeated the Rattlers.

Teaira Shorter had 14 points for Mojave.

Bishop Gorman 82, Desert Oasis 50 — At Gorman, April Rivers led all scorers with 23 points as the Gaels ran through the Diamondbacks.

Diamond Major and Zhane Dikes each scored 13 points for Gorman, which led 46-17 at the half.

Jaqueline Garcia led Desert Oasis with 16 points.

Green Valley 60, Del Sol 28 — At Del Sol, Angelica Mack taliled 19 points, and the Gators outscored the Dragons 14-0 in the third quarter on their way to the win.

Rebecca Arthur and Christina Najar added 10 points apiece for Green Valley.

Rela Coleman paced Del Sol with 12 points.

Coronado 56, Tech 24 — At Tech, Sofie Cruz scored 18 points to help carry the Cougars to a win over the Roadrunners.

Kealy Brown added 11 points for Coronado, which raced to a 27-13 halftime lead.

Kristena Wilson paced Tech with 14 points.

Spring Valley 42, Pahrump Valley 22 — At Spring Valley, Jana Espiritu scored 11 points to lead the Grizzlies to a win over the Trojans.

Brittany Noel led Pahrump with six points. 

Arbor View 46, Virgin Valley 40 — At Mesquite, Jena Valenzuela scored 13 points to help the Aggies hold off the Bulldogs.

Kourtney Metzger scored 14 points for Virgin Valley, and teammate Abbie Barnard added 11 points.
