ROUNDUP: Tech girls clip Del Sol on Wilson’s late free throw

Kristena Wilson’s free throw with eight seconds remaining Thursday allowed Tech’s girls basketball team to pull out a 46-45 victory over visiting Del Sol.
The Dragons rallied from a 34-27 deficit to take a 45-40 lead with 90 seconds left, but Carla Valle hit her lone bucket of the game to bring the Roadrunners within three points.
Mesha Phillips then drained a 3-pointer to tie it before Wilson hit 1-of-2 free throws to give the Roadrunners the win.
Adriana Heredia led Tech with 26 points, and Phillips added 11 points.
Melissa DeSantiago paced Del Sol with 21 points, and Desiree Orozco scored 12.
Foothill 55, Green Valley 52 — At Foothll, Cheryl Harless had 14 points, and the Falcons held off a late comeback attempt by the Gators.
Christina Nash added 11 points for the Falcons, who took a 45-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
Taylor Collins posted eight blocked shots for Foothill.
Maggie Manwarren paced Green Valley with 18 points, and Mackenzie Butler scored 11 for the Gators, who made 21 of 26 free throws.
Liberty 59, Coronado 26 — At Coronado, Alena Evans had 23 points to lead the Patriots past the Cougars.
Amanda Delgado added 15 points, and Jade Washington scored 11 for Liberty, which led 34-15 at the half.
Sofie Cruz paced Coronado with seven points.
Silverado 64, Basic 43 — At Basic, Natalie Lainhart scored 22 points to propel the Skyhawks past the Wolves.
Brittany Loguidice added 14 points, and Jessica Meyers scored 10 for Silverado.
Kailai Brantner paced Basic with 15 points, and teammate Kelsey Gunther scored 12.
Centennial 81, Faith Lutheran 18 — At Centennial, Jada Brown had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and the Bulldogs raced to a 21-3 first-quarter lead on their way to an easy win over the Crusaders.
Tamera Williams had 16 points, seven steals and seven rebounds for Centennial. Denajha Kie added 14 points, and Courtney Hayes supplied 12 points, eight steals and five assists for the Bulldogs.
Samantha Leonard led Faith Lutheran with eight points.
Boulder City 49, Virgin Valley 47 — At Boulder City, Taylor McKeever tallied 15 points to help the Eagles edge the Bulldogs.
Dana Prach added 14 points, and Whitney Barlow scored 12 for the Eagles, who outscored Virgin Valley, 14-8 in the fourth quarter.
Rachel Morris scored 14 to lead the Bulldogs. Madison Bowler added 13 points, and Jenelle Weythman scored 12 for Virgin Valley.
