SOFTBALL: Cimarron rallies for three runs in seventh to down Coronado

Sarah Murphy’s two-run double capped a three-run rally with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and allowed Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team to escape with a 7-6 win over visiting Coronado on Tuesday.

A bases-loaded walk with two outs allowed the Spartans to pull within 6-5 before Murphy ripped a 1-1 pitch to deep left-center to end the game.

Murphy finished with four RBIs for Cimarron.

Danielle Amato homered for the Spartans.

Green Valley 7, Arbor View 6 — At Arbor View, Anysa Calderon had two hits, including a three-run double in the fourth inning to help the Gators edge the Aggies.

Chelsea Perez supplied a two-run double in the first inning for Green Valley, which got a win in relief from Fenixx Henderson.

Letty Valenzuela-Rodriguez, Stephanie Huff and Kellie Anderson each provided two hits for Arbor View.

Tech 13, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, Megan Thomas was 4-for-5, and the Roadrunners scored one run in the seventh and six runs in the eighth to top the Cowboys.

Ashley Ramsey, Emmalyne Laymon and Lisette Sanchez each went 3-for-5 for Tech.

Vanessa Donham went 2-for-4 with a double, and Nayeli Rivas was 2-for-4 for Chaparral.

Shadow Ridge 4, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Tana Feiner tossed a three-hitter, struck out 10 and went 2-for-2 to lift the Mustangs over the Crusaders.

Joryan Brewer and Kate Dennis each had a triple for Shadow Ridge, which led 3-0 after three innings.

Mosie Foley had a double for Faith Lutheran.

Durango 11, Silverado 8 — At Durango, Cheyanne Haas went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and Mykayla Cutone was 3-for-4 with a double as the Trailblazers outslugged the Skyhawks.

Heaven Calhoun hit a two-run homer and Arieana Monturio had two doubles for Silverado.

Rancho 9, Basic 2 — At Rancho, Brandy Marlett went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to help the Rams beat the Wolves.

Tiare Lee was 2-for-3 with a triple for Rancho, which got a four-hitter from Samantha Pochop.

Valley 13, Cheyenne 9 — At Cheyenne, Shannon Williams was 3-for-5 with a triple, two doubles and four RBIs to help the Vikings top the Desert Shields.

Jenna Beaudry went 4-for-5 with three doubles and two RBIs, and winning pitcher Kristina Manthei was 3-for-5 for Valley.

Taylor Cole went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Jonnette Paddy was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs for Cheyenne, which scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Liberty 5, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Marisa Olmos went 3-for-5 to help the Patriots top the Mountain Lions.

Madison Hiu was 2-for-4 with a double for Sierra Vista, which stranded 16 runners on base.

Spring Valley 12, Bonanza 0 — At Spring Valley, Raven Bierlein hit a two-run homer and combined with starting pitcher Michaela Hood on a one-hit shutout as the Grizzlies blanked the Bengals in five innings.

Hood and Martinece Robertson each added a double and an RBI for Spring Valley, which took advantage of eight walks by Bonanza.

Sunrise Mountain 14, Western 0 — At Western, Andrea Garner spun a five-inning three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with three doubles to lead the Miners by the Warriors.

Jessica Gomez went 3-for-3, and Brittany Miller and Natalia Rivera each went 3-for-4 for Sunrise Mountain.

Mojave 19, Del Sol 6 — At Del Sol, Ashley Persico went 5-for-5 with a home run and a double to help the Rattlers top the Dragons in five innings.

Jackelyn Gonzales had two hits for Del Sol.

Pahrump Valley 2, Lincoln (Ore.) 0 — At Pahrump, Whitney Roderick threw a five-hitter to lead the Trojans to the win.

Roderick struck out six and walked one.

Pahrump scored twice in the fourth, the first coming on an RBI double by Amanda Pryor. Pryor came home to score on Deliah Polnau’s single.

Boulder City 20, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Charlene Masterson tossed a five-inning one-hitter as the Eagles routed the Bulldogs.

Mikaela Brown had two hits for Boulder City, which jumped ahead with a 10-run first inning.

Moapa Valley 27, Desert Pines 4 — At Desert Pines, Haley Nielsen had six hits, including a triple and two doubles, as the Pirates routed the Jaguars in five innings.

Liz Robertson and Makayla Jackson each had four hits for Moapa Valley.

Melissa Benford, Cassandra Bueno and Dulce Suarez each had two hits for Desert Pines.

Mountain View 39-23, Lake Mead 6-12 — At Mountain View, Rose Adkins went 4-for-4 with a double and six RBIs in the opener as the Saints swept the Eagles in a pair of five-inning games.

Winning pitcher Savannah Alley struck out 10 in the first game for Mountain View.

Lake Mead’s Brianna Foster was 2-for-2 with a double.

In the second, game, Alley went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs and picked up the win in relief as the Saints overcame an 11-1 third-inning deficit. Ally Whiting was 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs for Mountain View.

Taylor Webb had a double and a triple for Lake Mead.
