GIRLS TENNIS: Nettles, Falcons down Skyhawks

Lilly Nettles went 2-0 in singles, and Madison Topham and Alyssa Miele were 2-0 in doubles on Monday to lead Foothill’s girls tennis team to a 12-6 win at Silverado.
Megan Lopez was 3-0 in singles for the Skyhawks, and teammates Ari Monturio and Gabby Santiago went 2-1 in doubles.
Bonanza 10, Coronado 9 — At Coronado, Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester went 3-0 in doubles, and the Bengals edged the Cougars in a tiebreaker.
After the teams split their 18 regulation sets, Bonanza won four of the six tiebreaker games to secure the victory.
Paris Reese and Lauren Coons each went 3-0 in singles for Coronado.
Liberty 14, Valley 4 — At Liberty, Payton Burk and Marisa Olmos went 3-0 in doubles as the Patriots downed the Vikings.
Valley’s Brooke Harding was 3-0 in singles.
Boulder City 18, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Boulder City, Melissa O’Berto, Taylor Finn and Madeline Montgomery each went 3-0 in singles as the Eagles swept the Miners.
Boulder City’s doubles teams of Sariah Gneiting and Alexis LeMaster, Arianne Hess and Natalia Fullmer, and McKenna Frazier and Kyra Yamamoto each went 3-0.
Sierra Vista 16, Spring Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, Alexis Vincent and Kim Lai each went 1-0 in singles as the Mountain Lions topped the Grizzlies.
Eldorado 10, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Cheyenne Delicate was 2-0 in singles as the Sundevils downed the Spartans in a match shortened by rain.
Jasmine Sanchez and Kerrigan Holman went 2-0 in doubles for Eldorado.
Faith Lutheran 18, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, Lauren Wright was 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders shut out the Lions.
Jordan Harmonay and Michelle Reiss were 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.
Palo Verde 16, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers cruised past the Mustangs.
Clark 12, Western 0 — At Clark, the Chargers won by forfeit.
Mojave 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Rattlers won by forfeit.
Weather issues
Desert Pines led visiting Chaparral, 8-5 when their match was suspended due to rain. It will resume when the Jaguars visit the Cowboys on Sept. 25.
Tech led host Moapa Valley, 5-2 when their match was suspended due to lightning. A completion date has not been set.
Durango’s match at Arbor View was postponed due to rain. A make-up date has not been announced.
