ROUNDUP: Laengle helps Foothill girls hurdle Basic

Lena Laengle won two events Tuesday to lead Foothill’s girls track and field team to a 91-54 home victory over Basic.

Laengle was first in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.7 seconds, and took the high jump with a 5-feet, 1-inch effort.

Basic’s Feti Sini took the shot put at 30-10 and the discus at 100-0.

Relays carry Rams to victory
At Las Vegas, Rancho won six events, including three relays, on its way to 68 points and a victory over the host Wildcats (55) and Eldorado (35).

Eldorado’s Gaby Vazquez took the 1,600 (6:15) and 3,200 (14:24).

Las Vegas’ Breanna Melton won the 100 hurdles (16.9) and 300 hurdles (49.0).

Palazzolo helps Patriots take three-team meet
At Boulder City, Gabrielle Palazzolo won three field events to help Liberty to a narrow win in a three-team meet.

Liberty had 65½ points. Boulder City was second with 59, followed by Del Sol with 55½.

Palazzolo took the pole vault (7-6), long jump (14-1) and triple jump (29-9½).

Liberty’s Jazzlyn Wilkins captured the 100 hurdles in 16.9 an the 300 hurdles in 48.4.

Boulder City’s Jessica Tobler won the 1,600 in 5:54.3 and the 3,200 in 12:24.5

Del Sol’s Jasmine Hawkins took the 100 in 12.9 and the high jump with an effort of 4-8.
