VOLLEYBALL: Jordan powers Vikings past Sundevils in five

Brittanie Jordan’s 10 kills, five blocks and two aces Wednesday led the Valley girls volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-20, 17-25, 12-25, 15-13 victory over host Eldorado.

JeCori Glandey recorded seven kills and 12 assists for the Vikings, and teammate Patricia Choi added 15 digs and two aces.

Eldorado’s Tori Stark put down nine kills, and Mariah Vela had eight kills. Abigail Olsen added 30 assists and four aces for the Sundevils.

Coronado 3, Silverado 0 — At Coronado, Emily Bender had nine kills and three aces, and Nikki Jackson added seven kills in the Cougars’ 25-11, 25-16, 25-6 victory over the Skyhawks.

Cali Thompson finished with seven kills, 33 assists and four aces for Coronado, and teammate Berkeley Oblad had six kills on six hitting attempts.

Sydney Berenyi led Silverado with five kills.

Basic 3, Legacy 0 — At Basic, Christina Kelley notched 16 assists and four kills, and Kim Austin tallied 12 kills and seven digs to help the Wolves down the Longhorns, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23.

Kali Weires added seven kills and three blocks for Basic.

Saipeti Fuiava had 13 assists and three digs for Legacy, which also got nine digs and two aces from Jorden Yamaguchi and four blocks and three kills from Hannah Bennett.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 1 — At Green Valley, Julia Carlson had 10 kills and three aces to lead the Gators to a 19-25, 25-18, 25-8, 25-15 victory over the Patriots.

Rachel Klopfer added nine kills, three aces and seven digs, and teammate Taylor Lee had nine digs and three aces for Green Valley. Paige Schultz added five kills for the Gators.

Maggie Helm led Liberty with eight kills, seven digs and three aces. Tiffany Watkins added six kills, three blocks and two aces, and teammate Maddie Brown had three aces and seven digs for the Patriots.

Rancho 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Rancho, Karime Raygoza had seven kills and four aces, and Danielle Carino added five kills, five aces and five digs to help the Rams to a 25-13, 25-12, 25-11 sweep of the Pioneers.

Kayla Coles served eight aces for Rancho.

Canyon Springs’ Meelani Calleros recorded four kills, and teammates Karina Cavada and Andreya Diaz-Conklin had two digs apiece.

Boulder City 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Jaden Wood had 13 kills and five aces, and Lauren Pocius supplied six kills and 12 digs as the Eagles swept the Roadrunners, 25-21, 25-11, 25-9.

Alyssa Ybarra notched 20 digs for Boulder City.

Samantha Backman tallied seven assists, and Katherine Hernandez had six digs for Tech. Teammate Christine Sweet added three blocks for Tech.

Moapa Valley 3, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Cheyenne Leavitt had eight kills, six aces and 20 digs to help the Pirates outlast the Bulldogs, 25-19, 20-25, 25-16, 16-25, 15-11.

Shelbi Walker had nine kills, and Eden Whitmore added seven kills and two blocks for Moapa Valley.

Bernice Fiso had 10 kills and 13 digs, and Janella Fiso dished out 22 assists for Virgin Valley. Emma Barnum had 11 kills, and Jasmine Pulver added 16 digs for the Bulldogs.

Del Sol 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Nicki Zuniga had seven aces to help the Dragons sweep the Cowboys.

Christy Patinio had three aces and 15 digs, and Azhwalaee Oliver had 10 digs for Del Sol.

Moriah Allen led Chaparral with nine kills. Monique Long had 10 digs and two aces for the Cowboys, who got six aces from Abigail Delgado.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, the Miners defeated the Jaguars, 14-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-23.

Adelson School 3, Quest Academy 0 — At Centennial Hills YMCA, the Lions were 25-16, 25-9, 25-10 winners over the Knights.
