SECOND-DEGREE MURDER
23-year-old man faces drug-related charges
Elko police have arrested a 23-year-old Ely man on second-degree murder charges involving a woman who died in June of a drug overdose.
In an affidavit, police said Joshua Winton sold 18-year-old Jennifer Williams methadone, oxycodone and at least one other prescription drug in the days before her death June 25.
Williams' body was found on her bedroom floor by her mother.
Authorities said an autopsy showed she had several drugs in her system and died of an overdose.
Police said some of Williams' family and friends said she was addicted to prescription drugs, which could have been obtained from them.
