1 man found shot to death in car in central Las Vegas

A man was found dead inside of a vehicle in the central Las Vegas Valley Friday evening, police said.

Metro officers were dispatched to 1948 Cindysue St., near West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Rancho Drive, about 11:45 p.m. in response to a person shot in front of a home, according to a release from the department Saturday.

The man was found with multiple apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An investigation initiated by Metro's homicide detectives indicated that the deceased man, whose identity will be released by the Clark County coroner, was inside of the vehicle with the shooter when the homicide took place, police said.

The shooter, described as a black male adult between the ages of 18 and 20 wearing a red hoodie, tan shorts and braided hair, fled the scene, according to the release.

As of Saturday afternoon, no one is in custody and the motive is unknown.

This is the 18th homicide investigated by Metro in 2016.
