Man in critical condition after fire in North Las Vegas mobile home

A man is in extremely critical condition after a fire destroyed a North Las Vegas mobile home Saturday morning.

Numerous calls about smoke and flames coming from a mobile home at 3116 Orr Ave. near Carey Avenue and Pecos were made about 9 a.m., according to North Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Capt. Cedric Williams.

Firefighters responding to the single-wide mobile home and put out the fire in 10 to 12 minutes, Williams said. 

Upon entering the residence, firefighters found one man inside. He was taken to University Medical Center in "extremely critical condition," Williams said. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but damage is estimated at $100,000.

"The mobile home is a complete loss," Williams said.
