Motorcyclist killed in early Saturday morning crash
A man was killed after his motorcycle overturned at approximately 12:35 a.m. Saturday, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said in a release.
The crash happened on Dean Martin Drive north of Flamingo Road, police said. According to the release, the motorcycle, a 2015 Suzuki GSXR 750, was travelling south on S Dean Martin Drive when it overturned onto its left side. The rider, identified only as a 26-year-old male, was separated from the vehicle after it overturned and both slid over the west curb. The motorcycle came to a stop on the curb and the rider slid on the sidewalk before striking the base of a light pole, police said.
Police said the rider was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma hospital where he was pronounced dead despite all efforts to resuscitate him.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released by the Clark County Coroner.
