MGM Mirage opens CityCenter job application process

MGM Mirage opened the job application process today for the more than 12,000 positions it needs to fill at the massive $9.1 billion CityCenter development.

Applications are being taken over a Web site, www.citycentercareers.com, for job classifications. Some of the positions will begin in September while others will open through December, when CityCenter is expected to be completed.

MGM Mirage officials have said about half of CityCenter’s positions will be filled by employees at other company casinos. But the application process will also be used to fill positions at MGM Mirage properties that lose workers to CityCenter.

The company has said CityCenter is the most expensive private commercial development in U.S. history. It includes the 4,000-room Aria hotel and casino as its centerpiece along with non-gaming luxury hotels, condominiums and retail.
