Motorcyclist killed in Las Vegas accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle at the intersection of Flamingo and Lindell roads Thursday morning, Las Vegas police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Impala was traveling east on Flamingo Road and tried to turn left onto Lindell Road just before 9 a.m.

At the same time, a Kawasaki motorcycle coming from the other direction on Flamingo Road overturned and slid into the intersection as the Impala turned left, police said.

The Kawasaki and its rider hit the Impala, and the rider was thrown off the motorcycle. The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 63-year-old woman driving the Impala was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.

The man’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
