Man cleans after breaking into Massachusetts home, police say

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Police say a man broke into a woman’s apartment in Massachusetts and started cleaning.

The Berkshire Eagle reports police arrested the 33-year-old man last Thursday after he entered the home in North Adams, took off his shoes and emptied a litter box.

Police say the man was in a “confused state,” and didn’t make sense in his statements to officers.

The man was arraigned Monday on charges of breaking and entering and disturbing the peace.

He has pleaded not guilty.

The man is currently free on personal recognizance and is due back in court Jan. 21.
