Man pulls ‘Grand Theft Auto’ move, carjacks 2 vehicles in police chase

A stolen car suspect, who carjacked a second vehicle was in custody Monday evening after driving erratically on streets and freeways from downtown Los Angeles to Montebello.

The man was seen driving in and out of traffic, through numerous red lights and on the wrong side of the street.

He collided with several other vehicles during the pursuit, but kept on going.

At one point, a collision disabled the stolen vehicle. The driver then jumped out of the car and carjacked a second vehicle.

Officers chased him across several freeways before he exited the 60 Freeway in Montebello.

Once on surface streets he again collided with a vehicle and became trapped.

He again got out of the damaged vehicle and tried to carjack another car, but was unsuccessful.

As he tried to flee, the man could be seen suddenly falling to the ground.

Before he could get up, he was swarmed by officers.
