Police seek suspect who attempted to kidnap teen

Henderson police are seeking the public's help to find a man suspected of trying to kidnap a 16-year-old girl Sunday.

The unidentified girl was walking alone near American Pacific Drive and Trail Canyon Road about 11 p.m. when a man in his mid-20s drove up and asked her to get in his 1990s white Honda Civic, police said.

When she continued walking, he stopped the car and grabbed her.

Police said she was able to break free and provide a description to authorities.

The man, described as Hispanic, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and weighing 200 pounds, had a shaved head and no facial hair. He was wearing layered black and white T-shirts and dark denim jeans. He had no tattoos or definable scars.

The man's car had a bowling ball-sized dent on the right side of the front bumper.

The girl, who was not injured during the attempted kidnapping, said she didn't know the man.

Police are asking for any information on the incident. Call them at 702-267-4750.
