Don’t blame Smith’s for Visa dispute

In response to Karen Forsyth’s Tuesday letter on Smith’s and Visa cards:

No one should fault Smith’s for refusing to pay the higher bank fees. Would Ms. Forsyth be upset if Smith’s continued to accept Visa credit cards but raised its prices? Ms. Forsyth’s complaint would be better directed at greedy Visa.
