Education continues to get short shrift in Las Vegas

It’s just amazing to see the deafening silence from our politicians and community leaders as it relates to the funding crisis facing our school system. Think back a short time when our mayor, elected officials and community leaders were stumping every day to fund the new football stadium. No problem there.

Face the facts, folks. This city will always be a gambling entertainment center, and for those of us who live here, education will always sink to the bottom, somewhere below a soccer field. Cities grow and thrive on an educated populace. When will our city leaders understand that?

My guess? Never.
