Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore shows how to handle meeting disrupters

Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore has always been my favorite local politician, but now I am positively in love with her. Everyone should learn from the way she handled potential disruption at a meeting she was attending in Centennial Hills (“Attendees tossed from meeting on park,” Oct. 14 Review-Journal).

Time after time we hear about an event being ruined, disrupted or canceled because someone created a disturbance or the threat of one. Assuming the actual events occurred as described, Ms. Fiore handled it perfectly. If it looks as if someone will wreck a meeting, warn them and then kick them out.
