LETTER: Clark County graduation rate goes up, but students need remediation in college?

Great news on the graduation rate for the Clark County School District (“County graduation rate sets record,” Friday Review-Journal), but how do education officials explain the high number of students having to take remedial classes in college? Am I missing something?
